The Publishing Process

Broadcaster is configured to use a password-protected Web site, ruled by an administrator.

The administrator authorises users and sets their name/password access.

The administrator may be one of your staff or an outside consultant.

Broadcaster is available to many customers but each has access only to their own publishing section. No one outside sees your text or gains access to your mailing list.

Setup

When you have taken up a Broadcaster account, we set up a publishing system unique to your needs. Your username/password will let you into a work area closed off from public access where you can work on writing your newsletter.

File Locking

Because of file locking, several; staff can work on different articles without overwriting each other's. When the copy is ready to publish, Broadcaster's code will build the layout and images around your text.

Your newsletter is configured so that the design template fits snugly into the required shape in the e-mail body and you won't need to worry about layout or colours as these will be produced automatically for you.

Design

The e-mail body sits in your corporate colours so that recipients receive a branded, attractive package - good looks and good links. Use of images, colour, indents and bolding make your message stand out and this formatting is applied automatically according to your supplied design requirements.

Tables

For presentation of columnar data, Broadcaster allows you to insert tables. If you can copy and paste (or just type in content) you can build perfect HTML tables. You decide the number of columns and rows and Broadcaster takes care of the code.

Training

A person competent with routine use of standard office software should be able to learn how to use Broadcaster within half an hour. A broadcaster account includes a help manual.
